Payment is due at the time of service, and itemized receipts (superbills) can be provided for insurance reimbursement submission.

Medical insurance reimbursements do not reflect the high cost of operating a high-quality private practice in North Bethesda, MD. Insurance companies often impose restrictions on care that interfere with delivering optimal treatment. Furthermore, managing insurance administrative burdens detracts from time dedicated to patient care. Dr. Gelber chooses to spend his time directly supporting patients.
What are your rates for psychiatric treatment?
Rates depend on the type and duration of service (e.g., initial evaluation vs. ongoing medication follow-up). Rates are subject to periodic updates. Please speak directly with my receptionist, Christy, at (301) 750-2744 to obtain current fee information.

Intake appointment (70 minutes) $450
Medication management follow-up appointment (25 minutes) $250
Psychotherapy plus medication management follow-up appointment (45-50 minutes) $475
